تدشين مشروع تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي ومشاركة المرأة في وادي حضرموت
دشّنت مؤسسة بسمة للتنمية، صباح اليوم الأحد الموافق 30 أغسطس 2026م، مشروع «تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي ومشاركة المرأة في وادي حضرموت»، بتمويل من #الاتحاد_الأوروبي وبالشراكة مع Oxfam in Yemen - أوكسفام في اليمن ، وذلك بحضور الوكيل المساعد لشؤون مديريات الوادي والصحراء المهندس هشام السعيدي، ومدير عام مكتب الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل المحامي أحمد عبدالله باحشوان، وعدد من ممثلي السلطة المحلية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني والوجهات الاجتماعية.
وفي فعالية التدشين، أكد الوكيل المساعد المهندس هشام السعيدي أهمية المشروع، مشيداً بأهدافه ودوره في تعزيز الوعي المجتمعي ودعم مشاركة المرأة، بما يتوافق مع احتياجات المجتمع ويسهم في إيجاد حلول للقضايا والتحديات التي تواجهه.
من جانبه، أشاد مدير عام مكتب الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل المحامي أحمد عبدالله باحشوان بالجهود التي تبذلها مؤسسة بسمة للتنمية في خدمة المجتمع، مثمناً دور الجهات الداعمة والشريكة في تنفيذ المشروع، وما تقدمه من إسهامات لتعزيز التنمية والمشاركة المجتمعية.
بدوره، أوضح المدير التنفيذي لمؤسسة بسمة للتنمية الأستاذ صالح مسيعد، في كلمته، أبرز أنشطة المشروع وأهدافه، مؤكداً حرص المؤسسة على تنفيذ تدخلات تسهم في رفع مستوى الوعي المجتمعي وتعزيز مشاركة المرأة في القضايا التنموية والمجتمعية.
وتخلل فعالية التدشين تنفيذ أولى جلسات الحوار المجتمعي، بمشاركة نخبة من الواجهات المجتمعية وممثلي السلطة المحلية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني وعقال الحارات، حيث ناقشت الجلسة عدداً من القضايا المتعلقة بتعزيز الوعي المجتمعي، وأهمية مشاركة المرأة في مختلف المجالات، ودورها في الإسهام في التنمية وصنع القرار داخل المجتمع.
ويأتي المشروع في إطار جهود مؤسسة بسمة للتنمية لتعزيز الحوار المجتمعي، ورفع مستوى الوعي، وخلق مساحات آمنة وفاعلة لمشاركة مختلف فئات المجتمع، بما يسهم في دعم التنمية وتعزيز التماسك المجتمعي في وادي حضرموت.
Launch of the Project “Enhancing Community Awareness and Women’s Participation in Wadi Hadhramaut”
Basmat Foundation for Development launched, on Sunday morning, 30 August 2026, the project “Enhancing Community Awareness and Women’s Participation in Wadi Hadhramaut,” funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Oxfam Yemen.
The launch event was attended by Eng. Hisham Al-Saeedi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Districts of Wadi and Desert, Lawyer Ahmed Abdullah Bahashwan, Director General of the Office of Social Affairs and Labour, along with a number of representatives of the local authority, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
During the launch event, Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Hisham Al-Saeedi emphasized the importance of the project, commending its objectives and its role in raising community awareness and supporting women’s participation in ways that respond to community needs and contribute to addressing the issues and challenges facing society.
For his part, Lawyer Ahmed Abdullah Bahashwan, Director General of the Office of Social Affairs and Labour, praised the efforts of Basmat Foundation for Development in serving the community. He also expressed his appreciation to the project’s donors and partners for their contributions to promoting development and community participation.
In his speech, Mr. Saleh Msaied, Executive Director of Basmat Foundation for Development, highlighted the project’s key activities and objectives, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to implementing interventions that contribute to increasing community awareness and strengthening women’s participation in development and community issues.
The launch event also included the implementation of the first community dialogue session, bringing together a group of community leaders, representatives of the local authority and civil society organizations, and neighborhood leaders. The session discussed a number of issues related to enhancing community awareness and the importance of women’s participation in various fields, as well as their role in contributing to development and decision-making within the community.
The project comes as part of Basmat Foundation for Development’s efforts to promote community dialogue, raise awareness, and create safe and effective spaces for the participation of diverse community groups, contributing to sustainable development and strengthening social cohesion in Wadi Hadhramaut
